FOOLISH MORTALS R2 TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello again, you foolish mortals. Since we are not having a mock trial for R2, we decided to have another test drive to help ring in the occasion!  Especially since many of you have multiple options for the upcoming rounds.  Much like last time, t
his test drive will remain open until the game itself opens in October.

Foolish Mortals is, of course, open to Disney characters only - and the same rules apply here. Characters who don't fit this criteria may find themselves being removed from the test drive, for consistency purposes. If you have any questions, please feel free to consult our FAQ here. Please list your character's name (canon also recommended) in the header of your top-level prompt.

Here are some examples to get you started:

1 - Waking Up
You find yourself awoken in a dreary little bed that creaks and squeaks far too much for your liking. The room is run-down and decrepit, and cobwebs practically coat the particularly tacky wallpaper. It's...unnerving, to say the least, and you should probably get out of there. Sadly, it doesn't look like the rest of the hotel is any cleaner, but...perhaps you'll find others in similar circumstances?

2 - Killing Time
If we must kill something, it might as well be your boredom. It doesn't seem, however, that the hotel has quite a lot to offer in the way of entertainment. There's an old projector with creepy early-to-mid-century movies, a bar, a (rather eerie) library, a steam room, and a treasure room.  Something feels... off about the last room, however, like you're being watched.

3 - Happy Haunts
There's...stillness in the air. Occasionally, you might notice some sort of unexplainable oddity. A piano might begin to play itself in your presence, or dishes and silverware might reaarange themselves when you're not looking. The eyes on portraits might even follow you around, until you notice them. Perhaps it's worth investigation, or perhaps you're better off just screaming and running away. Your call.

4 - Party!
The Hollywood Tower Hotel, before its sudden closure, was famous for its parties.  So perhaps it's unsurprising that everyone is called to the Tip Top Club for a mandatory party...on Thursday night. You should throw on your best formal attire, and try to have a good time. It should be mentioned, of course, that the motive this week appears to be getting on everyone's nerves. It doesn't really help matters that it'd be so easy to take someone out if you just flipped the lights off...have fun.

5 - Body Discovery

Despite your best efforts, someone has died on this fateful Friday.  While no one was especially close to him, it appears that Cinderella's father is dead, and one of you is responsible. Better investigate the mansion for clues, and hope you don't mess this up...

6 - Et Cetera, Et Cetera, Et Cetera
For all the prompts you want to do but we haven't listed.

Keep in mind that posting in the test drive does not represent a commitment to join our game. You're welcome to play here even if you can't app. Playing here does not guarantee a slot in the game, nor does it count as a reserve. However, you're welcome to use up to 20 comments here from your character on the test drive should you app them later, in lieu of a sample.

Remember, reserves for the game will be opening on September 22nd

[Mmmmmmm joy. It's just what Oswald wants to hear and see, someone finding him in the middle of an mess. This was not the kind of thing a ruler wanted people to see!!

He's already pulling himself from the wreckage, ears straightening out when he notices Mabel there.
]

...Ugh. [He sighs.] No, there's nothing there. I was hoping that the projector would lead a way out.

The projector, huh....

[Mabel may not be on the same level of smart that Dipper is, but she is a lot smarter than people give her credit for. She looks from the now-torn screen, to up towards the back of the theater.... where the projector itself is.]

Heeeey.... maybe you'd have to jump into the actual projector for it to work!

[... Okay maybe the smart thing is a bit in debate.]

What? No, no, that's not how it works. That would just be silly!

[He kind of, uh, slides in between Mabel and the projector. Please don't smash it, little girl.]

When ya want to travel through a projector, ya have to jump through the screen and into the cartoon that's playing.

[It's perfect science!]

I guess normally that would make sense... but this place is a little different, huh?

[It sure as heck is super weird, but it's not even the same kind of Weird that Gravity Falls is! Things have to work differently.]

So maybe it works different than how you're used to it! Maybe you gotta jump into the projector and it'll shoot you into the cartoon when it shows up on the screen!

[Another sigh.]

You're telling me, kid. Even the Lonesome Manor at least followed the rules of my world. Around here? It's just weird with a capital 'W'.

[But boy, is he almost considering Mabel's idea of jumping at the projector next.]

It's an idea alright. But like it or not, we'd only have one shot at this if we tried and it didn't work.

I know how you feel! Gravity Falls was super weird too, like we were getting attacked by monsters and gnomes and weird golf ball people all the time! But this place is totally different.

[And honestly, Mabel's... not sure how to feel with that. As much as she picked on Dipper for being glued to grunkle Ford's journal, it had helped them a lot! And they had Soos and Wendy and grunkle Stan to help them too, and they knew a lot more about Gravity Falls than she and Dipper did when they first showed up! So getting stuck here is just.... kinda bad-different.]

... Hey I have an idea!! Maybe if we put a mattress up there it can help if we get shot out but don't go into the cartoon!
